High altitude butane

Recently someone mentioned that they use high altitude butane. What's the difference vs regular butane?

At what altitude would high altitude butane be recommended?

My Google searches have come up empty on answers.

Thanks

XiCar High altitude in the black can is the only butane to buy even here in Houston at zero sea level.

Cool, thanks for the link. Answered my important questions.

My lighters with Neon 11x worked just fine at 10,000ft in Yellowstone, so doesn't seem like i need to shell out for anything special.

Was mainly interested in what the exact difference was with the high altitude stuff, and at what elevation it was reccomended, which the article answered

Recently finished up the last of my Lava and Vector. Found this to be about the best price around right now for the high altitude variety. My local stores only carry the regular silver can Purofine. If you buy 4 it's about $11/can before your local taxes. Delivery was fast and free.

Crap. You'll need to watch the price. Last week when I bought my 4 pack it was $41.99. Looks like the price is up this week. It will usually come back down if you aren't in a hurry.
