Cooling a Humidor w/ Peltier cooler

I see all these threads about using a wine cooler for a humidor to control temperature. And I see things about cooled humidors. But does anyone know of a good way to hook up a cooling device to a humidor?

I am going to be building an end-table humidor soon and it has come to my realisation that I should probably work in a cooling system. I was thinking maybe using one of these peltier coolers and wiring up a thermostat to it.

Has anyone done this? Or any smart electronic guys out there have any knowledge they could throw in?

I am wondering how much volume they will cool and different ideas for powering them and running thermostats to them.

Thanks,
Nathan
