OK the search feature keeps failing here so has anyone had any good/bad exp. with the Cigar Oasis I or II in their coolerdors??
With price thrown out of the mix I think the CO would be nice cuz of the fan, and the settings etc. The only con I could think of would be it wouldn't take excess humidity OUT like beads would. Any comments? ££ Ķâƒєєήď ££ |

Kafeend, I have been using the small cigar oasis in my cooler for quite a long time now. It keeps my rh between 65-67%. I've never had any problems with excess humidity with my coolers. Hope this helps. btw, my large cooler is approximately 90 qts.

I used an Oasis I in acooler with no problems. I dialed in at 68% steady as a rock. Now I am using same setup with a wine cooler.
!!!!!Mas vale un cigarro en la boca que veinticinco en camino!!!!! !!!!!A cigar in you mouth is better than twenty-five on their way!!!!!

I have two coolers set up (still) with the CO small and still use them with no trouble. Wish I could say the same for my $3500 Delta T humidor. I just moved all my stash back to the coolers because they are trustworthy -- the Delta T has problems.

Bob Staebell on his web site says that the capacity of the CO I is about 3-4 cu. ft. One cu. foot is about 30 qts., so by his estimation, 120 qts is about max. Hope this helps.

And keep in mind, at the max the CO would be running a lot. I would expect the cartridge will not last long. I think it might be cheaper in the large coolers to use Climmax beads. They are a one-time purchase and really never need replacement. One pound is good for up to 5 cubic feet.

Um, it depends on whether you are opening it a lot, if the boxes are humidified, etc. Yes, that sounds about right for dimensions. But, consider this, I am using a SINGLE Cigar Oasis (small one, NOT the big one) in a cabinet that holds 2500+ cigars. ZERO humidity problems simply because with that volume of humidified wood, it takes a LOT to drop the RH. I open that cabinet about once every 1 - 2 months.
