The Essential George Jones, The Spirit of Country
Got this double CD set for Christmas. Wow. I knew he sang some great songs, and I have 2 other collections of his, but this one covers his entire career, across a lot of record labels. The man could flat out sing. This collection really is an ear opener... from A Good Year for the Roses to The Door to He Stopped Loving Her Today to If Drinkin Don't Kill Me...
and to think I used to make fun of him. Well. the sideburns are pretty amazing...
