Dunhill Nightcap
Having heard a lot about this blend, how it was full bodied and contained a good variety of Latakia, perrique and Turkish tobaccos, I thought that I would like this pipe tobacco. After thoroughly enjoying the strong and bold SG 1792 Flake, I decided to buy a tin of this.
It was very easy to light and it burnt without any relights. It is more a medium-strong in taste, definitely (to my taste) lighter than 1792. But all I got was the peppery burst of perrique; no obvious latikia or Turkish present in the taste. However I didnt enjoy it from the off, but I decided to continue and smoked the pipe for 10 minutes to give it a chance. Sadly the taste was more peppery after 10 minutes and I decided not to persevere. It produced a huge amount of smoke output, definitely one if you were wanting to create a haze of smoke in the room.
I think that this would be quite a polarizing pipe tobacco; you'll either love it or hate it. Not to my taste at all. Id recommend sampling before buying a tin.
