Last Friday, I had a little extra time away time on my hands at work, so I decided to cut over to the Alesmith brewery as they open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. I think I’ve found another home away from home (in addition to Liberty Tobacco here in SD, but that’s for another thread). No pretense or fancy decor ... just a small wooden plank set up in front of the taps wedged in behind the brew kettles. I could only sample about half their line (I did have to return to work) but everything was fantastic. I left with a growler of “Horny Devil” their coriander-spiced Belgian-style brew. In fact, I’m enjoying a glass now as I write this. I think Alesmith might become a regular stop. It’s a must visit for any brew-head stopping through SD.
