Cigar Rolling

Hi Bros!

Long time. Good to post here again. Just wanted to share my latest hobby of rolling my own cigars. It’s a great process and gives a good feeling when you know you made the cigar you are enjoying. Enjoy the pic.

Long ashes my friends!

Very nice looking.
Appears you did an excellent job.

I have never had the finger dexterity for something like that, and now have half my left hand numb and 2 paralyzed fingers so its completely off the table now.

Seems like it would be a cool facet of the cigar hobby

What did you use for the wrapper, binder and filler on them?

Welcome back, good to see you here again. How long did it take you to learn this skill?

It didn’t take long at all. My Son gifted me a stater kit for Father’s Day from LeafOnly, and caught the bug right away. They include and instruction video with the kit. Once I knew this was a viable method was when I invested in the roller and mold.

Thanks for asking. And thanks for the flowers, bros!

I use a filler blend of aged Nic and Dom ligero leaves. A Nica binder, and a Dom ligero wrapper. From LeafOnly.com

Use a KingRoller, cigar leaf buncher/roller. Then place the sticks in a 52 ring, 7” cigar mold. Then apply the wrapper very moist by hand. Wrap each cigar in a CigarWeekly magazine cover for 24 hours. Then air dry on cedar rack for a week at room temperature and humidity. Then move to the humi to age several weeks.

My pleasure.

Have always thought it would be neat to smoke a Cigar made by a fellow forum member.

Several forums I belong to have members who roll their own but haven't been able to convince any of them to sell a few to try out.

Have never tried a custom roll yet, nc or cc, but do have 1 Cuban custom roll by an apparently pretty well known custom roller, and was gifted 6 of the Cigars of Habanos custom rolled Dahlias I was generously gifted, but am saving the one from cuba for a special occasion since it is unlikely I will ever have another, and am letting the Dahlias rest and acclimate as they were fresh from the freezer of the member who gave them to me and he suggested that they require a longer rest and acclimation period than usual when they have spent time in the freezer then refrigerator.

Definitely looking forward to trying them as I'm trying to explore new realms of cc's like custom rolls, ER's, EL's, aged, Vintage, etc

If you ever change your mind, let me know.
They look very well made as and the tobacco used sounds very tasty
