Padron Churchill Maduro
First Impressions
Dark, slick cigar with the familiar small, understated Padron band. The cigar is lightly veined, a very nice Churchill size and a nice cap. Lovely pre-light aroma. I think I detect toast, others say nuts, I say, "nuts to you, you're toasted, just smoke the thing!" Comments Easily lighted, but a slightly uneven burn right in the middle of some the cigars I smoked. This burn irregularity corrected itself in every case. This Padron is tasty, definitely toast, maybe some cocoa overtones. What is really nice is the aroma of the blue smoke, much nicer than the blue smoke that exhausted from my first car. For my nose, the aroma of these Padrons is excellent, pungently pleasant. The Church is a high-smoke volume cigar, setting off smoke detectors in Marriotts from coast-to-coast. Padrons IMO are one of the best values out there in terms of quality versus price per stick. I prefer the Padron Executive size to the Church because of the slightly cooler smoke of the big iron, but make no mistake, this is a good cigar. |
