ERDM Robusto
An oscuro cigar, a bit larger than a traditional robusto (5 x 54) made with a Ct broad leaf wrapper, and Honduran filler & binder.
The wrapper was distinctively toothy and had two small veins. This cigar has a firm overall feel to it. Clipping the end and taking a prelight draw produced a distinctively nutty/coffee taste. The wrapper is slightly tangy and salty. After toasting the foot I began to draw on the cigar and got a mouthful of silky, peppery smoke. This robusto starts out with a decent bite/coffee flavors and after a third of it is smoked begins to mellow out. I kept repeating to myself.. "man.. this is a great cigar!" The smoke had a unique, full body, silky quality to it that made it difficult to put down. I had a minor uneven burn to the first half of the cigar but that is most likely due to a lack of sitting time in the humidor. This is my current favorite smoke. I am a very inexperienced habano smoker but this has got to be one of the best cigars for the money outside of Cuba.
