Unexpected Humidor Discoveries

Don't you just love it when you go deep into a humidor and discover a long-lost friend? Two recent examples from me:

- Oneoff Robustos. A tenner I picked up from somewhere ages ago. Actually a short piramide. Mellowed into a smooth, flavorful smoke, excellent morning cigar. Burned through the tenner in no time. Glad there are at least a couple more down in the depths.

- Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Lancero. From the "Limited Edition Lancero Collection" released, what? Ten years ago? Smoked this one in the duck blind yesterday morning. Epic. Smooth but still solidly medium-bodied, with that faintest hint of chlorine at the start that I came to associate with Cubans. Fabulous smoke, from first draw to blistered fingertips.

I see gumby found some Connies that are on...no surprise there. Makes me glad I went on a binge when the closure of the Villazon factory was announced. So what old friends have you stumbled over recently that really rang your bell?
