Actually, I just checked and the page says that the forums have been discontinued. So I guess that's the end of Doc Barry's daily updates.

It's a double edged sword. On the one hand, it's obsolete technology that continues to lose an audience. On the other hand, we respect your privacy and guard the information you give us. We don't share or sell any of the information you choose to share with us.

I guess it depends on what is important to you.

It may be technically obsolete, however there are many other enthusiast sites that still have very active forums/bbs. What curses us is that cigar enthusiasts are a bit older than the average bear. I "regularly" look at the Toyota forums: going strong. Tiger Droppings, has NO appearance of downturns in numbers. So, I don't know that it is truly obsolete, I find other forms of social media to be much more difficult to keep up with topics and threads. Of course I rarely avail myself of hashtags and what-have-you. They still return tons of information, but so difficult to wade through.

Got my feet wet so to speak on the JRBB. When it went down I found my way to CW. Been here ever since.

The only other online forum I frequented was gopowercat.com for K-State fans which was great for a period, then some of the really interesting, intelligent, and creative participants dropped out. It descended into flame wars and I dropped out.

I started out at JR's, then moved on to MBCL and LaLuna's Lunatics. Then came here.

Seems to be civil.

If this board shut down, I don't know where I would go. CW has the best info and members around.

Then one day it was just gone. It took a while, but I somehow came across this board. Been here ever since.
