Yet another C-bid problem
Call to C-bid customer service:
"Hi, I'd like to check the status of a lot I won. I haven't received shipping notification yet. The lot number is ______ ." "Let me check. <muzak> Sir, it looks like those are on backorder." "Let me see if I understand. (C-bid) put up for auction a box of cigars you don't even have?" "Well, sometimes an item runs out of stock..." "On a single-box auction?? Well, can you tell me when I can expect them to be in and shipped to me?" "Let me check. <muzak> Sir, there is no date in the system. It looks like it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks." "You gotta be kidding me! I bid on and win a lot, and you tell me I might have to wait two months for them to get to me?" ---etc--- So now it seems that c-bid puts up for auction cigars they don't have in stock. Has anyone else ever had that happen? In any event, it looks like my c-bid days are over.
