Your weekend of cigars?

Had a nice weekend, Got a couple cigars in this weekend.

I had a Cupido Criollo picked out to smoke whilst working the grill on Friday night at my buddy Beau's swimming club. It's been a regular thing this summer. We have a party at the club and my buddy Phil and I work the grill. It's a very enjoyable time, Phil and I work well together.

Anyway, Phil brought me a Romeo y Julieta Vintage double corona. Big honkin' cigar with a silky smooth wrapper that appeard to be a light Connecticut Shade. Now, I usually smoke smaller cigars but since Phil handed it to me, I decided to have it. This thing had some flavor, I wasn't expecting that. I used to smoke RyJ's regular line often when I first started out, with the Indonesian wrapper.

This was a fantastic cigar, it didn't need ANY touch-ups at all, burned like a champ and held a rock-hard ash for a long time. I usually let them stay, but since I was cooking I couldn't let it fall on the food.

Last night was a Montecristo #2 that Dartplayer1 sent me as a bonus with his Fantasy Football buy-in. This was fantastic. It was everything you could want out of a Monte#2, the reason why it's one of Havana's benchmark vitolas. Thundering rich flavor, and it burned so well. I touched up once, and it wasn't really necessary, but I wanted it almost perfectly even.

Sat with MTusa on his front porch after supper and I nubbed this thing, burning my fingers, moustache and lips in the process.
