I used to swear by zippo lighters when I only smoked cigarettes. since I started smoking cigars, I find that I really like to get the end of cigar "red hot" when lighting it. for doing this, a zippo just dont cut it the same way a torch lighter does. for me personally, it has nothing to do with fluid versus butane, its a matter of heat! and, for this reason, when I pick a torch lighter, I allways pick the ones that have the "tight" flame!

the butane torch insert for the zippo lighter is actually called the "Z Plus" and it's made by Blazer. Mine works real good.

I have a torch, but prefer soft flame whenever I can get it. And besides, Zippos are just plain cool :yup:
