OSOK/ROJAS EL TEJANO LANCERO
This is a very good looking cigar with a smooth Maduro wrapper with a closed foot. The cold draw is perfect. Today’s beverage is a cold Topo Chico.
The initial flavors are medium bodied and smooth with earthy with hints of savory spices. The retohale is smooth and rich. The ash looks fairly solid and the burn is mostly even. In the first third the flavor profile develops a bit of sharpness as the spices gain strength over the earthy base. The retohale remains smooth and rich. The ash remains fairly solid and the burn remains even. During the second third the sharpness develops into light white pepper notes over the steady earthy base. The retohale remains smooth and rich. The ash remains solid and the burn remains even. Approaching the final inch the flavor profile is steady. The strength of the cigar has increased to medium to full bodied. The retohale remains steady with a great volume of thick smoke. The ash remains solid and the burn remains even. Overall a great cigar. It has a very nice complexity and excellent construction. 9.7/10, Joe Bob says check it out.

I'm liking what Rojas is putting out. I saw an interview with him and he says he prefers making "smaller" ring gauge cigars so you can taste more of the wrapper. He loves to make Lancero's. I've had 2-3 diff blends from him in the 40's ring, and all have been very good.
Thanks for the review! |

Edgar and Noel could rule the industry if they got the right lawyers...
