This thread is from 2003. What's up with that?

Cohiba123.....errrrr.....PartagasReserva found it and felt compelled to add something insightful.
Not atypical, really.

The age doesn't make this info less useful.... I have placed cigars that I had found in a humi I thought was empty (yes shame on me, but I do have 1 or 2), and placed them in my dry box for 2-4 months and just smoked one of them last night, and it was fine.... Actually it was great (Dea Double Maduro Churchill from 2009).... Anyway the wrapper cracked when I popped the top, but upon closer examination I think the wrapper was pretty thin to begin with.....
PR, good luck and take it slow... John

Also, it's great to see some of the old names and avatars.

Rob, now that we have a list below the window that provides a few thread titles similar to the one currently on page, it's gonna happen. I probably open an old thread for every new thread I open. It's more entertaining to read old stuff than to wait for new stuff to create itself. |

I once got a couple of cigars from 1910. They were totally dry and hard as rocks. I stuck them in my humidor with the rest of my smokes. Within a month they felt just like the rest of my cigars. No split wrappers or anything and they were moist and smokeable. They didn't taste great, but hey, they were from 1910 after all, and they were cheap cigars even then. I'd like to try the same thing with a 1910 Cuban puro! But whenever I've had a dried out cigar I never did anything special, I just stuck it in my humidor and it came out fine.
