This is a very smooth dark wrapped cigar with a light bov press, medium tobacco aromas from the foot and a perfect cold draw. Today’s beverage is a Dragon’s Milk Reserve with vanilla and chai spices.



It’s breezy today so I will have to watch the burn and the ash. The initial flavors are light sweetness with a bit of tartness, but not a citrus effect. The retohale is very smooth.



In the first third the sweetness is evident as I roll the smoke between my tongue and palate before releasing it. The spices in the ale are excellent but do not linger to affect the flavor profile of the smoke. The ash is mottled grey and steady so far and the burn is even.



During the second third vanilla notes join the flavor profile. A solid medium bodied smoke with great complexity. The vanilla is also present in the retohale. Despite the breeze, the ash is holding solid (although a solid chunk dropped off), and the burn is just slightly off of even.



Approaching the final inch the smoke moves to the fuller side of medium bodied. The flavor profile remains steady and very pleasant. The ash and burn are mostly steady, only deviating as the breeze comes and goes. The retohale remains smooth and reflects the flavor profile.

The ale is turning out to be an excellent pairing. The flavors are not transferring to the smoke. 9.3/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
