I once did some consulting at Zippo's HQ and got a tour of their factory. Very cool operation

They had a Museum and a ton of lighters that had been produced over the years which was very cool. I can't imagine Zippo making a product that they didn't stand behind 100%. They're on par with LL Bean and perhaps Xikar for customer service from my experience.

One particular story that I heard/read about while at the museum was of a GI in WW II, I believe, that had a Zippo in his pocket. He took a bullet and the lighter actually stopped it. He sent the lighter back in to Zippo and they sent him a brand new one. That lighter was on display at the museum. Being somewhat of a military history buff I thought this was very cool

Might have to make a trek back up there and check them out once they've hit the shelves and people have had time to use and review them.
