Geez, not another one!
Black Sabbath hands down. I grew up listening to "Paranoid" and "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath." "Paranoid" especially is one of those albums that pulls me back to the early 70's-- a great time for the original Metal.

My first "big" concert was the Black & Blue tour at Aloha Stadium. Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, along with Molly Hatchett and some sucky french band. My ears rang for 3 days after that one! With that said, I'm with Glenn. It's too hard to pick. Ozzy's got much more material but I cut my teeth on the likes of Black Sabbath.

I'll pick - Ozzy by a slim margin. Mainly due to Sabbath's albums with Dio and other vocalists, as compared to Ozzy's work with Randy Rhoads.

Sabbath by a long shot. Ozzy is processed fast food to Black Sabbath's four star resort hotel.

I have to go with the classic... Black Sabbath.
I too cut my teeth on Black Sabbath. I remember listening to them on my front porch in the summer time, volume up loud. Then I would hear the phone ring.... my Mother calling to tell me to turn it down. How did she know you ask? Well... the neighbors would call the Police, the Police would call my Mom at work... she would then call me. Funny how that works... |
