Quick Tasty No Bake Bourbon Goodness

Gma Roberta's Bourbon Balls.

2T Hershey's cocoa. 1C confectioner's sugar. Sift together.

1/4C bourbon or rye or rum, etc (I usually run a 1/2C like Gma Roberta did) 2T Karo syrup. Stir to dissolve in small bowl/cup. (Dan: I use Isaac Bowman Bourbon finished in Port Barrels)

2-1/2C crushed Nilla wafers (literally a box)
1C chopped nuts (optional) (Dan: I didn't use nuts)

Mix everything together. Roll into small balls. Roll in confectioner's sugar, let stand before placing in airtight container.

Friday, a SOTL brought several batches into the cigar lounge for everyone. After trying them I asked for the recipe. I made them yesterday. Next batch I would cut back on the sugar and not roll them in sugar at the end. The flavor is damn delicious.

They sound decadently sweet.
