Beef Short Ribs in Wine Sauce
I pan fried the ribs to burn off some of the fat. I then saute one chopped onion (course), five cloves of chopped garlic in the fat left in the pan until it got nice and a bit smokey. Added 500 g red wine, and one can chicken broth, reduced it some.
Placed the braised ribs into a crock pot, and added all the sauce to the ribs. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours, then turn to low for another 2 hours. Take the ribs out, and place the juice in a frying pan and reduce it some to thicken it a bit. Add to the ribs and enjoy. Sorry I don't have exact time and measurements, but that's how I roll in the kitchen. Oh man, the ribs and sauce came out AWESOME. Served with steamed carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, and mashed red potatoes. Cookin in the crock pot...
