Humidor Control

I live in Florida, Tampa to be exact. My humidor stays right at 69 on the hygrometer. The funny thing is, I only added water to it once since I have had it, which is 5 months now. The 'dor holds about 75. Is this normal and is there something wrong? Cause the puros seem fine. Thanks!
