Vern, I guess I do not know if I should laugh or feel sorry for you. You somehow have gotten involved with a business that appears to take a generic product and slap a brand name on it and charge a premium price for it. Please do not think I feel there is anything wrong with this, but don’t charge people with dissing you and your product because you can’t differentiate yourself from generic silica gel and alternative products such as Arten.
You and Roy have been asked numerous times to explain how the Climmax product differs from plain generic silica gel and to define the performance differences that would support premium pricing. There has never been a meaningful response and now those same questions are being raised about comparisons to the Arten product. Several threads exist on CF where questions to you and Roy continue to go unanswered which would lead the intelligent observer to conclude there is no difference. If you consider not being able to establish why your product is better when asked “being dissed”, I would suggest you consider a new line of work where you do not have to deal with alternative products. I should also note that I have responded to every question about humidification that you and Roy have posed to me, and feel I should have the courtesy of a response to mine. I do feel that at this point you owe the Fuente’s an apology given your insinuation that somehow Fuente may be behind the imaginary attacks on your product. Does Fuente own Humidi-pak, that would certainly be news to me? I think it is time for you to be a stand up guy and deal with your product on its own merit. If Climmax is better you should have no problem with alternative products, if it is not better you should invest your energy into solving the problem. I have no investment at all in any humidification process or product. I have nothing to gain other than to help folks with humidification questions. My advice to you at this point is- -Clearly establish, with facts and side by side comparisons why the Climmax product deserves the premium price it is sold for. Use silica gel and the Arten product as the comparative products -Educate yourself on the science behind the products and the alternative products. It appears at this point your understanding of the Climmax product and the alternative products is not as good as it should be. -If your work concludes that the Climmax product is not significantly better than generic gel or the Arten product, focus on creating value in the packaging of the product rather than the humidity control agent. -Lastly, stop wasting your time chasing the Climmax conspiracy and devote that time to improving your product. Take a page from the Liss, Staebel, Fuente, Bargain Humidor, Xikar, Cigar Oasis, etc, etc, book of business in which products stand on their own, they focus on their products being good not on why the competition is bad and they can all clearly establish how their products differ from their competition. On a final note every one of these gentlemen never has an ill word to say about their competitors and in most cases will help them. Vern, I wish you the best in your venture.

Vern, I would suggest that doing a search on CF would indicate that I was speaking to this issue last year.

Yes, anything that Climmax Humidification is releasing or will be releasing will be available to CW members. We will probably have short intro special for any new product that Climmax Humidification would release.
