There's no question that there would be a non-compete clause. There's also a possibility that Lew is still reaping profits from the company as part of the overall package when he sold the company. Therefore, whether he's allowed to or not, it wouldn't be in his best interest to make critical remarks in relation to JR's.

I think it's just sad that JR's is not the same as when Lew was in charge. With that said, I still like JR's and I still buy stuff from them. It's also possible that JR's will return to its former glory, and possibly be even better. Major changes shake things up and it can take time for the dust to settle.
