After years of thinking about it I think I'm finally going to take the plunge into the world of home brewing. My father-in-law and I are going to go in together on the equipment and split the fruits of our labor. I have a couple questions for any other home-brewers out there.

First, I just want to make sure that this kit will be sufficient to get started. Any recommendations on other accessories we should pick up (aside from a 5 gal stainless pot)?

Now since we're cheap bastids, I was thinking of getting these pots from Cabela's . I'm not sure why they're so much cheaper, but they're stainless and I'd think they'd get the job done. Any reason I should spend over $100 on a pot to boil the wort?

Also, what are the pros/cons of a secondary fermenting? Actually, I understand that it helps to get rid of the sediment and produces clearer beer, I'm mostly interested in the cons of not doing it. Is it worth picking up another carboy to use as a secondary fermentor, or should I hold off for now?
