The Cooler King is Dead, Long Live the Humi King

I just ordered my 3rd 3000+ cigar humi and Oasis II for delivery next month. This will allow me to retire the last of my coolers from active duty.

I am a big believer in teh coolers, loved having them, but having the cigars upstairs, in furniture quality humidors is very nice. It is also nice having the humis with air flowing 24/7 and the humi set - with my travel schedule this gives me a degree of peace I like more and more.

And it keeps my storage out of the basement. The floods 4 years ago sadly took out close to 1000 cigars. All efforts to salvage them failed - I tossed 2 coolers full out last month - drying, wiping, wiping, drying, nothing could overcome the foul smell of moold/mildew and even I wouldn't smoke them.

So the cooler king is gone, but the humi king is still here...

Whatever works for you, Jeff.

I'm a one cabinet, one cooler person myself. If I could afford another cabinet, I'd get rid of the cooler too.

A few more irresistable Joe Cigar deals, and I'll top off my 11th cooler. Still, there's no way I'll ever reach the Pinnacle of Coolerness that you achieved, Jeff. You're still The Cooler King.

I'll post step my steps of the humi from arrival to being filled.

I loved my coolers, had 40 of them at one time. but this past week when i was on the road and my home was receiving torrential rains, I couldn't help but worry about whether I was taking a flood again. The coolers float, but the ones with the drains will take on water. And a couple of days of being soaked and the cigars are ruined.

The humis can go upstairs, cheap humidor's products are beautiful...

here is the one I ordered, in cherry

I went all shelves because I need space for boxes...
