I got off work on last night and decided to try one of the 'mystery' cigars that LGHT sent me after they had rested for a few days.
It had an interesting wrapper. From some angles, it looked quite flawless and pretty and on other angles it looked a bit rough. It had some pretty mottling as well. I bit the end off and tested the draw. Very nice. It had just the right amount of resistance that I enjoy. The cigar smelled quite nice as I took the first few puffs. Rich and thick smoke surrounded me. The taste was surprisingly mild. I guess I was expecting something more substantial from this large cigar. Nevertheless, it tasted quite nice albeit a bit green and young at times but that flavor has something I've come to enjoy from time to time. Flavorwise, I was a bit dissapointed but not because it tasted poorly. Quite the opposite. But I tend to enjoy stronger cigars where the flavors grab me, throw me to the ground and kick me while I'm down. However, this cigar would be something that I would give to someone who was interested in smoking their first cigar. It had enough tobacco and leather flavors that I think it would give a novice a good intro to the tastes and flavor profiles that most cigars offer without being so mild as to lead them to believe that all cigars are mild. I would also consider this cigar as a good one to smoke while working outside or a anytime I couldn't devote all my attention to the smoke. It was quite a forgiving cigar. My one and only complaint about this cigar is that it really didn't develop at all during the length of the smoke. I guess I was hoping it would it would strengthen and grow stronger as the fire got closer to my face but I was a bit dissapointed to find out it didn't. Nevertheless, I would have to say that I enjoyed my hour and a half with this cigar. It was a nice change of pace for me. Thanks. This was fun! Chris P.S. - What was it?

Great review!!! I agree it's a Med/Mild blend as I tend to lean in that direction. Hopefully we will get the last write up from eduardo soon and I will reveal the brand and type of cigar along with prices and samples for others if they want any.

This is my 2'nd Review here
so here we go Wrapper I give a 8 for the construction Taste I give a 8 also Ash 7 Over all I give it a 8. First Impresions is that its a nice constructed cigar. No wrapper flaws I see. The initial light I get hints of Cinnimon and Nutmeg. first 1/2 lots of nice Creamy smoke with a lot of hints of spices. Cinnimon and Star Annise is what comes to mind. It required a few relights due to me driving and smoking the first 1/2 the last half I smoked as I got home from work. This is a sweet afternoon smoke and I hope to try many more. I think a smaller shape would be better for me. Maybe a PC or a Robusto would have a little bit more spicyness that I like. I recomend that ya give one a try and see what ya think. steve
