It's OFFICIAL Drew Estates sells to Swisher
First Torano to General, Then Leccia to General.....and now the Player to be Named Later........Johnathan Drew sells to Swisher ( subsidiary of General)....guess it's better for the Indy's to cuddle up with the BIG BOYS. Oh that seems so funny, sad, and appropriate

I read that today, and I can't even formulate a coherent thought in my own head about it.

Eh, not sure what kind of impact this will have on the brand going forward. I guess we'll see soon enough.

There used to be a term called the salty swirly. guess what it was. Now we have the asid swishy. toss up as to which would be the worst experience.

Met Saka a few times at Cigarfest. I appreciate the direct replies. Anyone have links to the JD denial comments? I hope at the end my Acid Atom Maduro's smoke the same but are cheaper.

I can't remember a single merger that was accomplished by canning the crew. There shouldn't be any interference from swisher on a successful company. The quality shouldn't change. Seriously, I don't expect a break in prices because now there is another layer of corporate profits to take care of.

Just a comment for whatever it is worth...
All summer long at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course both Acid and Swisher were there , they were in tents next to each other (10 ft apart) , I had never seen cigar guys at the track before... Dan |

The denials... from FB it looks like people asked directly if DE was being sold and got told no. But having been through acquisitions, if you talk the deal goes away and you have to pay money.
You work for 20 years, you want the big payday... And I used to bash them over Acid and their flavored cigars. But they moved into other lines. And they have some good cigars outside the flavored stuff. And beating them up for making something that sells, well, I'm pretty sure they got into the business to make money. ANd Drew is a nice guy, happy for him if this makes him happy.
