Xicar cutter fix...

... Does anyone know the size of the allen screw in the button of a Xicar cutter?
Mine has worked its way loose and I don't seem to have one that small.

It came completely out, but I got it started back in with a flat toothpick, but I'm afraid I'll lose it if I don't get it torqued enough.

Maybe I could take it to the jewelers?

TIA

Can't you just send it back to Xikar?

Yes, they will. But if he has one of the early cutters with the high-quality Solingen steel blades, they'll send him a replacement with the cheap Chinese steel blades. Not a good trade, IMO.

I would contact them and tell them that the screw came out and see if they would send you a new screw and the small tool to tighten it with. You never know...

Doesn't sound kosher to me.

I'll try the jeweler, need a watch battery anyway.

I do, and I didn't lose the screw, it just needs tightened.

Try a jeweler or a watch repair shop.
