Sistema tupperdor
Anyone ever have a Sistema brand tupperdor somehow fail and not hold rh, or have any ideas what could cause this?
The seal looks fine, lid is seated properly and clips work with normal effort (unlike being very had to close if the lid is seated improperly). I have only 4 cigars in the smaller size tupperdor, and with 2, 60gr, 65% Bovedas it reads 55% with a just verified Boveda Butler, and with a 320gr 65% Boveda it reads 57%. Even if it had a small leak, a 320gr Boveda in a container it barely fits in, should read higher than that with only 3 cigars. Have even gone so far as swapping out the Sistema and Boveda, and it still only reads 57%. I'm at a complete loss... Any ideas? Try checking the accuracy of your hygrometer. Do the salt test. Here's how to do the salt test

I run my calibration tests in a dry box now. Sherman with the foam pulled, or a smaller Pelican or Nanuk dry box. I was surprised that even a smaller volume container can take more than a day to stabilize with just a 60 gram Boveda pack. I usually let the test run for two days if at all possible.
My thought was remove the cigars and just have the Boveda and hygrometer in the box and see what results you get from your test. |

I calibrated my Boveda Butler in a bag tha barely fit a 320gr 65% Boveda and the Butler next to it, and after 24hr it was reading dead on at 65%, no adjustment needed, so it should be accurate.
