Coffee in cups with lids versus open cups
I find that coffee cups with lids impart a flavor that I'm not real crazy about. It happens with just about every type of sealed cup, but some are worse than others. Travel mugs that are metallic are the worst at imparting an off flavor to my coffee. It's not as bad when the coffee is hot, but once it starts to cool a little, the off taste comes on. I can't really describe what it is, just not a great flavor. This happens with just about any kind of coffee I drink.
I find that I enjoy coffee in open cups much more. Perhaps it's the aroma and "nose" of the coffee?? Anyone else experience this kind of thing, or am I just weird?
