Smoking bans gaining ground in Mississippi

MS has a rep for being last, or next to in most categories, but they always catch up. In this case it's smoking bans. Starkville (home of MSU) has had a city wide smoke ban in effect for about a year.
Now I hear that another town is about to enact one, in Tupelo..I believe.
I *think* the city of Jackson (captial) already has one. Good thing too, smoking was a serios problem in Jackson. Much more so than the increasingly high crime rates (carjacking, murder, shootings, drugs...etc)

Anyway, one of the idiots in Tupelo said the surgeon generals latest report sealed the issue for him. I mean, the SG issues a statement, with no evidence to back anything up, and that's it. End of discussion.
Amazing.
But try to get people to believe the Bible, and it's...where is the evidence.
I guess some folks don't need evidence or facts, as long as the statement agrees with their own opinion.
"My mind is made up, don't confuse me with the facts".
