ISO What to line a Wine Cellar Humidor with?

New lurker on this forum... I've got my flamesuit on ...

This is a question for all craftsmen on this board.

NOTE: I've done the searches but I'm still a little "clueless" on how I SHOULD go....

For my recent birthday, I received a 52 bottle wine cooler from my wife which will be converted to a humidor.

Of course, it comes with the useless wire shelves. I want to put in wood shelves for utility and esthetics.

I went to price out Spanish Cedar and Honduras Mahogany and almost had a heart attack.

I'm now leaning toward 1/4" Mahogany plywood.

My questions are:

What is kind of glue is used for the plywood. I have read on a thread here that it is might be formadahyde.

I have also read that MDF is mostly water based glue... but how it will it hold up at 65% RH?

I've been convinced to line the back wall with Spanish Cedar (a friend has some to spare) to regulate the humidity but now I'm concentrating on the shelves...

Cheers

Rudy
