louisiana temp and humidor - am i screwed?

i'm from louisiana where its hot and muggy most of the time, and i'm having a difficult time maintaining a decent temperature/r.h. for my humidor.

currently, it is running at 76 degrees with 68% r.h. my humidor has been seasoned and contains 2 hygrometers (one analog and one digital) to establish a better approximation. my humidor is located in the coolest room in the house (since we have no basement). we have a ceiling fan running most of the time and we rarely use any lights in the room. my humidor is also obscured from any sunlight; however, i cannot seem to drop the temperature in the humidor below 75 degrees. today, i decided to put a fan directly blowing on the box. it seems to have little to no effect.

can anyone offer any suggestions? am i screwed until winter arrives? i dont want to lose my crop to beetles.

this is a link to the humidor i bought.

also, i only use distilled water. i dont have any special solution.

thanks in advance for any suggestions,
