Hot Temps and Muggy Weather?

Okay I have had enough of the temperature! Let me fill ya'll in and tell me how to solve the problem.

My humi sits about 4 feet in the air on top of my computer desk. I bought a radioshack hygrometer that has the temperature on it too. Well for about 2 or 3 weeks now the temps has gone into the high 70's and even as far as 80 degrees. The only method I can think of is to put a fan on it throughout the day and it'll cool down to 75-76 degrees. I don't have a basement and can't put it under my bed. The A/C stays on a constand 73-75 degrees (live with parents so I can't turn it down).

Give me some ideas on how to make it cooler in my humi. Because I'm running out of them
