New CAO Colombia banner.
I've had two of the Colombias that were gifted to me almost a half year ago. I've got to say that I loved them. They were a unique blend to me; never had anything quite like it. Supposed to be columbian filler with a cameroon and jamastran binder and wrapper. They were just beautiful and smoked like a dream with a great draw. creamy smoke, and perfect, straight burn. One of the ones that are a total pleasure, lovely to look at, and relaxing. 85-90.
They had a pretty standard honduran profile, IIRC, with an unusual note that I just can't place or really describe. Good prices, too, it seems. There's an online dealer with $79, free shipping, and 5 free flatheads for the robusto. $79 seems to be the going price for them. Wish I could give a better review, but other than what I perceived as a woody, leafy, medium or better smoke, I don't recall that much. One hell of a bargain at about $3 a smoke including the flatheads. |

That's good, Bri. I may have to hit a shop and try one or two, soon.

To tell the truth, I preferred the amazon basin. Again, a medium or better smoke, nice, creamy, mild, with a sweetish finish and for lack of a better term, exotic edge to it. Otherwise, IIRC, similar to some of the montecristo lines. Again, absolutely perfect construction.
These aren't brazilias. Nothing butt kicking about either of them. aimed at a different group, but I don't see why almost anyone wouldn't be happy with them. I've mentioned it before, but the same package had a couple cohiba nicaraguans. World rocking. I'd never buy them, and I'm not sure if they're worth the serious cash outlay. I guess that they are meant to compete with fernandez, maybe. I smoked a MOW afterwards, and there were similarities, but the cohiba was far smoother, and the nicotine buzz was really reduced. But, yes, the Colombian is a great smoke, and definitely worth the current price. |

Thanks for the review. This is the only CAO I haven't tried.
