FWIW, I'd leave the drawer fronts raw for a couple of reasons. One, as was discussed in another thread the exposed wood helps contribute to stabile humidity, anything that closes/seals the wood's pores diminishes that, and two, it will take a very long time for the solvents to volatilize and they will never completely go away.

It's about the cigars and optimal storage conditions, not some minor appearance factor.
