Coolerdor question re: room temp
Yes, I read the sticky, but I still have a question. My understanding of coolers is that they are very resistent to outside temperature. Does this mean that I can place a coolerdor in a cold room (small dark room with large a/c vent) or my dark cool basement without worrying about the room being too cold for the cigars?
I would like to keep the temp inside the cooler somewhere between 65-68 degrees F. Would this be feasible if the cooler is in a room where the temp tends to hold steady at 55 degrees F or perhaps as high as 72 degrees F? Thanks.... |

Even at 55 degrees, you won't have any problems. If you're going to smoke straight out of the cooler, you probably want to let your cigar sit out for a little while, in a warmer room, or you might split the wrapper when you light it.

Look at it this way; eventually ice in a cooler melts, so eventually the interior will achieve the ambient exterior temperature.

Stability is more important than terminal temperature (within reason, of course).
