AGANORSA LEAF ANNIVERSARIO LANCERO

This is a beautiful Cigar with very little aroma from the foot. The cold draw is slightly tight, but I expect it will open up as the cigar burns. Tonight’s beverage is a 50ml pour of Clyde Mays Rye.

The initial flavor profile is earthy and has a medium full bodied smoke. The ash is holding steady and the burn is even.

In the first third the cigar the flavor profile remains fairly steady. The ash is bending a bit, so it will be watched. The burn remains even.

During the second third the flavor profile is steady. The retrohale is mostly smooth with a touch of white pepper. The ash fell into the ashtray fairly quickly, but the burn is very even.

Approaching the final inch the flavor profile remains very complex and the burn remains perfect. I have had this blend in the Toro, this is a much better mix of flavor and wrapper.

Overall an excellent blend in this cigar. The flavor profile remains pleasantly complex. And the ash fell into the ashtray when resting. The construction is excellent with a good ash and a perfect burn. 9.3/10, Joe Bob says check it out.

Flavor sounds right up my alley, but they certainly aren't cheap.

Nice review

I've been looking at this line and wondering if it was worth trying out. I'll add these to my future wish list.

I'm confused. Your description of the flavor profile is "earthy and has a medium full bodied smoke" and then later you say it remained complex. Earthy and medium sounds rather pedestrian, not complex.

How does an earthy and medium cigar with a bent ash score over a 7?

Not sure what to tell you. the "earthy" is the common basic of Nicaraguan tobacco (there were more flavors, but I must have done this review on a slow-down day). It was far better than a 7. I'm thinking about redoing it when I find another one.

It's not uncommon for me that when I add up every aspect of a cigar from a review, that the score doesn't really match what I think it ultimately should be, but that's me adding my opinion vs the straight, individual facts and associated score I try to stick to.
