I remember listening to the Deep Purple "In Rock" lp at a friends house in the winter of 1970. Yes ,, that guitar player could rip it up , the hardest and loudest band I ever heard. Took a trip to see the"FireBall" concert in OKC in 1971 , the backup band was Nazarth and Buddy Miles! That ,,, was one fine show. I think Ritchie's best was on the Perfect Strangers album.
