I picked up a few of these at the local cigar shop. Here what I thought
Prelight - Nice looking maduro, deep brown color. Prelight puff told me this would be different from the regular SP, had more of a nutty flavor. This cigar is squared off. Burn - Not an even burn but I never needed to touch it up either. It burn one side a little more than the rest of the cigar, then it burned another side a little more and so on, but nothing that caused a problem. Ash - Kind of a dirt gray. Held on well, no flaking. Taste - Better than the regular SP as I thought it would be. A medium strength, with taste of nuts and coffee. The flavor you get at the beinnning is the flavor you get all the way until the end. Not really complex more like here what I have to offer so enjoy. Not very complex either. This cigar is a 7.5 in my book. I wouldn't buy a box of these but I would keep a few for when I'm looking for a medium bodied, nice easy smoke. |
