So What Happened to George Dickle Old #12
Several months back my local said the George Dickle Old #12 was no longer.
Yesterday I hit the same store; they had G.Dickle, but it has been reduced to 80 proof (along the lines of J. Daniels several years back), it has a different label, is no longer a #6 or #12, but simply a Sour Mash "Cascade Hollow". The girl behind the counter, whether she knows or not, said Dickle had been bought by the Japanese and they get the old stuff and all we'll get is the new (bastardized) stuff. Any reality to this story? Old #12 was my go-to Tennessee. I'll miss it......... |
