Concert Advice
For being stuck out here in the middle of cornfields, we've got some good entertainment coming up. We don't get the huge arena bands, but that's OK. We have one relatively small, intimate club that has been aggressively booking great entertainment. We had Buddy Guy last week (I missed it...). $40, but it would have been worth it.
Here's some headliners for the next month and a half: The Jayhawks Parliament Little Feat Dick Dale Vic Chesnutt Anson Funderburgh Magic Slim Reverand Horton Heat Dr. John I can't afford to see but a few of them, and I'm looking for recommendations on who to see. Parliament is $40 a ticket, both Little Feat and Dr. John are $35 each, the rest are $10 to $20 each. I have seen Magic Slim before, but it's been a lot of years. Dick Dale is a legend, can he still play? Parliament would be a blast, but that price would kill me for a few other shows. How about some input? |
