Each cigars have slept for the last 6 months.
Both cigars are well made, firm , no soft spots. They both had an easy draw producing good smoke volumne. The ash on both were firm and held on for 1 to 1 1/2 inch.
The difference was obviously in the taste. The Relampagos was rich and full bodied. Box pressed with a cedar, dark coffee and spice taste. The African Tusk was a meduium flavor with some punch. The taste was earthiness and some spice.
Both are very good and enjoyable.

I've been lusting after those Relampagos for a while. I'll have to pick up a 5-pack next time I place an order...

They're both excellent in their own ways.

That would be La Luna. One of the advertisers here, SmokeAll.com, has them a great prices. And you can get 5-packs to try them out...

I'm going to order some of the sample packs based on what I've seen here.

Do you consider the Relampagos to be the strongest and fullest of body from the La Luna line?

The Relampagos is the torpedo in the Maduro Fuerte line. I think the strongest in that line would be the Colada, followed by the Hoyo Negro and the Tornado. The Relampago is excellent, just not quite as potent as some of the smaller vitolas.
