Why I Hate Pennsylvania

Among other reasons.....

The liquor industry here is Stalin controlled. They had a big shake-up a year or so ago, and got rid of the guy that really built up the industry, back when there was a push to privatize the stores. Their thinking was that to make everyone forget that the industry was under the thumb of .gov, they'd be more accommodating and offer more choices.

Well now they have gone backwards. For instance, no longer is EW 1783 offered. No longer is EW Single Barrel offered. No longer is Elijah Craig 750ml offered. (All three were my goto bourbons...) If I want either, I have to submit a special order to the gov't, and the minimum order is a case.

F'ing PA.....

They need to take a lesson from New Hampshire. Great selection and great prices in the state stores. I'm glad my daughter goes to school there so I can hit their stores every now and then.

Be glad you have the application process. In GA, our only option is bootlegging it.

If you are a wine fan, the PA state store system is currently one the broadest and most reasonably priced cellars in the country.

In essence that is what everyone who remotely lives near any of the borders of PA does..... Cannot tell you the last time I did not buy both beer and liquor elsewhere, and bring it with me.....

Can you buy hooch of the net?

Even if your state doesn't allow it, I understand some merchants will do it for you anyway if you ask them nicely.

No. I don't know of any net site that will ship to PA. I used to use Hi-Time Wine out of Cali, but they stopped shipping to PA last year.
