Well Crap....
Due to situations in my personal life Cigars took a very back seat for about 6-8 weeks .... I had no desire to smoke any cigars at all let alone pay any attention to my humidor , and as a result the 20 or so cigars I had bit the dust ... I tried one of the 2 remaining Monte #2's from down south , it was so dried out that it tasted like licking an ash tray !!! all the other sticks in the humi were in similar shape , I have 2 punch rare corojo's that I had been trying to aqe for awhile that I held onto and will check into them in a few months , but , I suspect they are saw dust also...
another side effect of not smoking for 2 months is that I find I need to go back to weaker/smoother cigars ,ones that I used to like just seem too strong now... I went all the way back to a Macanudo which to me before were bland , now not so bad. As soon as I have $$ I will start restocking Ashton Classics and Monte White Labels and start all over again... Oh well at least it will be a fun journey (again)... and the situation in my personal life seems to be getting back on track , but , still has aways to go .... but , cigars are back Dan |
