The Landmark

Anyone have The Landmark 300ct humidor pictured?

It's made by Prestige Import Group and I'm familiar with the husband and wife who sells them as one of multiple they sell, and they are very reputable and well thought of on another forum the wife is a frequent poster on. They certainly arent known for selling junk.

Just never had good luck with wooden humidors, but to be fair, they were all el cheapos from Amazon.
Only the 2 bottom drawers are real for accessories. The rest are just decorative

The only decent imported humidors that I have ever found decent were the ones JR used to have that were made by a company owed by a person named Andy. Can't remember the name of the company. Most had logo's like El Rey or Brazilia on them and JR sometimes blew them out for like $99 if you bought a box of cigars. They were top notch and I've never seen anything close to their quality. Sad thing is that one day maybe 10 plus years ago, they were no longer available. I do see them for sale on occasion on some of the forums.

Any suggestions on good, comparably sized ones?

I have one that looks very similar except for the top. Mine has a glass insert for most of the lid. It's the largest of my three and I use it primarily for longer term storage. I've had it so long I couldn't tell you where it came from.

I think I've seen the one your talking about KatDad, or at least one similar.

How do yours seal? What size Boveda do you need to maintain your desired rh?

How often do they need replacement?

I've only ever had el cheapo Quality Imports from amazon, and needed like a 75% to maintain just 62%, and the Bovedas didn't last long...

It seems to seal pretty well. I keep it pretty full and use Humi-Care Black Ice humidification that I get from cigars international. They last for years and only need recharging every few months.

Every few months isnt bad at all. My cheap ones went through Bovedas in a couple months tops. I do have 6oz of Heartfelt beads though, just need the mesh bag for them instead of the little tupperware containers I tested them out in.

What rh is the Black Ice designed for vs your actual rh readings?

No clue. I don't pay much attention to that. As long as my cigars seem properly humidified and smoke well, which they do, my approach is pretty laid back. When the Black Ice starts to shrink past a certain point I recharge them.

Gotcha.

I dont use but 3 bluetooth hygrometers anymore, and rarely check them. With Bovedas in tupperdors I dont really sweat the exact number, but I shoot for about 65% as that seems to smoke best for me.

I would just be putting one in any wooden humidor just to see what rh humidifier is needed to get about 65% or so. Too dry due to leaking and my cigars getting dry wrappers is my only concern until I get a feel for it and know what rh I need to achieve 60% plus.
