Leon Jimenes

I've been hankering to try a Leon Jimenes for ages. Had my first today, a mini-beli from a CI sampler that was extremely disappointing. I enjoy many good mild smokes, and expected this to be a primo example of the mild Dominican genre. Although beautifully constructed with a smooth light tan wrapper, fine draw, and even burn, it proved to be bland, papery and ultimately harsh towards the last third.

Question for anyone who's had some longterm experience with these: Was this a fluke and can I expect any benefit from some aging?
