Pipe restoration

I found a couple of places from an internet search but was wondering if anyone had a specific recommendation

I discovered this post https://edinburghpipeclub.blogspot.c...tate-pipe.html and am looking to get an old pipe just to try out some of the techniques. For me it's great because it speaks about stuff that is readily available in the UK.

No way would I be able to do this myself, just don't have the finesse or patience.

Here is a before and preliminary after of a poor condition estate pipe I picked up on eBay. Fortunately I met a great brother on another forum that does restorations for cheap. I thought that maybe I was taking advantage of him, which is why I started this thread, but he assured me I wasn't and he enjoyed doing it. More to come when I get it back.

Yeah, this guy is awesome. There were deep teeth impressions and the button was completely worn in a couple of spots.
