2004 Vegas Robaina Familiar

Country of Origin: Cuba

Wrapper type: Cuban

Binder: Cuban

Vitola: Corona

Humidimeter Reading: 65%

Environment:

Temperature: 98 degrees

A 5.6x42 Corona with a very fine, very smooth texture, Cuban Colorado Claro wrapper, with a short cap and a hard bunch.

Cold draw was very tight so ran the PerfecDraw tool through both ends and felt no plugs, just a tight roll, which opened up a little bit from the tool.

Slightly uneven burn, possibly due to the high wind, but no way to know. A long, conical coal, mottled black, flakey ash, a very tight draw and some minor wrapper peeling in the middle starting early on.

Smoke volume was decent at best and a faint, brief, subtle aroma of simple tobacco.

Of medium richness, strength, body and a perfect balance of herbal, vegetal and floral flavors, with a dry, medium finish of the same.

No sweetness, bitterness, burn on the tongue, sharpness or saltiness.

Overall, with a final score of 76 out of 100, and even though the taste was enjoyable, with everything else included, the most generous I can call it is fair.

I friggin love cigars
